The majority of our door systems are tested to the HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) standards, the most stringent hurricane codes anywhere in the United States. Most BHI Door Systems meet the minimum Florida Energy code.

ODL severe weather doorglass is designed for homes in wind-borne debris regions or high-velocity hurricane zones (HVHZ). Certified to meet Florida building codes and Texas insurance approval, the aluminum frame and laminated glass create the security you need.
Every Advisar door is constructed from heavy-duty fiberglass. It comes pre-hung in a high-performance composite frame that resists damage from weather and rot. Our engineered sills block out air and water to keep the outdoors outside. Our seamless, plug-free glass frames mean no unsightly fasteners or screw holes. Our name-brand hardware and locksets are installed at the factory and feature a stronger security plate than others. And our factory-finished paints and stains are baked in to ensure a smooth, consistent finish every time.
Advisar doors are built to withstand the harshest weather conditions. If you’re in a hurricane-prone area, fully High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) compliant options are available with impact-rated door panels, glass, and sills.
